ECT International and Cyco Software Implement a Strategic Partnership

  
Brookfield, WI, March 21, 2005, ECT International, the market leader in electrical design software, has entered into a strategic partnership with Cyco Software, a leading global software company offering Engineering Data Management (EDM) solutions. The partnership is designed to provide customers of both companies access the combined advantages of EDM and electrical CAD software.

ECT's promis•e® software automates the creation of electrical control system designs. Users can generate schematics quickly and accurately using the software's many automatic functions including ID assignment, wire numbering, cross referencing and error checking. Reports such as bills of material, wire lists and terminal plans are also generated automatically.

Cyco Software's enterprise EDM solution, Cyco AutoManager Meridian®, ensures that the latest revisions of the right documents are available to the right people, every time. Along with flexible revision management, Cyco AutoManager Meridian offers workflow support for both projects and single document types. Users can compare revisions and reinstate previous revisions, and 'as-built' documentation is separated from 'under revision' data.

The integration between promis•e and Cyco AutoManager Meridian enables the electrical controls design functionality of promis•e to connect with the engineering document management capabilities of Cyco AutoManager Meridian. The two companies cooperated to ensure a seamless integration between the two products, creating a collaborative environment where users can maximize the combined strength of both products.
